The procedure itself usually takes under one hour and is done as a day case with no overnight stay needed.
You may have a small incision under the chin which is closed with one suture. A compression garment is often recommended to help with healing.
Some mild swelling and bruising is normal in the first few days, but most patients return to work and social settings quickly.
