Still Living With Ink You Regret, Even After Laser?
You’ve outgrown the tattoo — but it’s still staring back at you every day.
You’ve already spent time and money on laser sessions… with little to no result.
Thick, raised or black tattoos are notoriously difficult to remove with lasers.
You’re done waiting months between sessions — you want a clean slate.
Surgical tattoo removal is a quick and effective solution for permanently removing unwanted tattoos by physically excising the inked skin. It’s particularly suitable for tattoos that haven’t responded to laser treatment or those that are deep, raised, or in awkward locations.
The treatment is performed under local anaesthetic, typically in under an hour, and leaves a fine linear scar in place of the tattoo. While not suitable for large tattoos, it offers immediate and permanent removal for smaller areas.

Unlike laser, the tattoo is removed in one session with no ongoing treatments.
Works on all ink colours, densities and skin types — including stubborn or raised ink.
Walk-in, walk-out treatment under local anaesthetic with quick healing.
We’ll guide you on scar healing and can offer treatments if required.

Patient Testimonials
The UKSKIN Process
When you get in touch with UKSKIN about tattoo removal, your dedicated Patient Coordinator will walk you through the process.
You’ll submit photos of the tattoo you want removed, which will be reviewed free of charge by a surgeon to determine if surgical excision is appropriate. Surgical removal is often recommended for raised, deep or stubborn tattoos that haven’t responded well to laser treatment.
If suitable, you’ll be given a quote upfront and details about the likely scar and healing process so you can make an informed decision.
In most cases, you’ll attend a face to face consultation and have the tattoo surgically excised on the same day. This is done under local anaesthetic as a walk-in, walk-out procedure.
You’ll return for an aftercare visit with our nursing team. They’ll check your wound, remove any sutures, and ensure your healing is on track. We also offer scar management advice where needed.
